Organizing your jewelry can be a bit frustrating, especially if you have lots of it. I have been through the ordeal of rummaging through my drawers for my favorite necklace or earrings and not being able to find them when I needed them. Fortunately, I started organizing jewelry the right way and now I live a hassle-free life and wear the jewelry without struggling to find it. Here are my top tips for organizing your jewelry:
Jewelry Organizer
A hanging or wall jewelry organizer is going to be your best friend when it comes to organizing your jewelry. You can get a jewelry armoire and attach it to the wall or you can get one of the cheaper options of the plastic organizers that you can hang in your closet. I prefer the wall jewelry organizer because they usually come with a mirror and have little drawers or compartments inside. A jewelry organizer works best for long necklaces, earrings and even bracelets.
Bangle Organizer
Do you love to dress up your wrists every time you go out? Having a bangle organizer is the ideal solution to store all your bangles. Just hang all your bangles and bracelets on them and you can put them back whenever you take them off. However, if you have expensive or bejeweled bracelets or bangles, I suggest you keep them in the boxes or just place the organizer in a locked glass cabinet.
Keep Everyday Jewelry Visible
If you wear some specific or favorite jewelry every day, then it is best to just keep it all in plain sight. This way, you won’t have to bother searching for it. Keep a small bowl on your dresser and stash all your daily wear jewelry in it. It could be a decorative bowl or dish that adds charm to the dresser or nightstand containing all your bling.
Drawer Inserts
If you already have a designated drawer for organizing your jewelry, then you can further categorize by getting a drawer insert. You will have further compartments to easily store different pieces of jewelry without them mixing and tangling with one another. Alternately, you can just use colorful ice cube trays or kitchen cutlery dividers to give your jewelry drawer a bright and funky look. You should label each section so that you can put it back at the right place. Labeling my jewelry boxes and inserts have made my life so much easier that whenever I get a new dish or tray to insert, I make sure I label it.
Now that you know how to organize your jewelry, I hope that you never go through tangled chains, necklaces or earrings ever again.
